In the courtyard to the right of Santa Croce is found Brunelleschi's Pazzi Chapel. Although he did not design the exterior facade seen above he did design the rest of the building. Photographs of the interior, however, fail to do justice to the stunning simplicity and clarity of the space that he created by skillfully applying ancient Roman design motifs and proportions. Sitting quietly in the interior of this chapel was one of the most memorable experiences of my entire trip.
