This is a view down the Grand Canal in Venice with a municipal water taxi entering the picture at the lower right. I found Venice to be remarkably beautiful but I was disturbed by the fact that the city has become little more than a tourist center as a result of the fact that a substantial percentage of the city's population has been forced to move to a neighboring city in search of affordable housing.
